Colette has been working in child welfare since 2009 and brings a variety of social service experiences. Prior to joining CWTC, Colette provided direct services to families in the states of Indiana and Georgia. She also served as an advocate for women and children’s rights. Colette has worked with the Marion County Juvenile Justice System, the Marion County School System as well as the Marion County Department of Family and Children Services. She has experience as a Family Service Coordinator, Family Support Worker, Care Coordinator, Skill Development Specialist, and Grief Case Manager. In these positions, Colette provided counsel, rendered child development and coping skills curriculum, developed case plans and monitored the progression of families. She also collaborated with community partners to ensure needs of families were met. Colette earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Indiana University and a Master of Social Work degree from Clark Atlanta University.
