Debra Ross
Instructional Services Coordinator Staff- Biography
Debra Ross is an Instructional Services Coordinator for the Child Welfare Training Collaborative/ Professional Excellence Program at Georgia State University School of Social Work. In this capacity, she provides extensive training in the topics of trauma, trauma-informed care, resilience, and other related child welfare topics. Participants in Debra’s classes come from a variety of backgrounds in both the public and private sectors. Debra has worked in training and staff development for the last 20 years. She began her career in social work over 30 years ago – working in child welfare in a variety of roles. In her downtime, she enjoys gardening, eating seafood, and long drives.
Debra earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Fisk University and a Master of Social Work from Fordham University.
